four in three
This past weekend we played four shows in three days. And several times over the past few days I have had people ask me “So, how did you survive that?”. The answer? Simple: very well, thank you. First of all, we have the luxury of having multiple musicians available so a lot of the band took turns playing over the weekend (Dan, our bass player, myself, and Chris, my hubby and our sound man were the only three that played all four gigs). But even more importantly: I got to spend the weekend doing what I love most: sing and play music. Lead worship in two settings and play some great and meaningful concert music in another two. No complaints here! And while – with day jobs and other obligations we cannot keep a schedule like this every weekend – I love it when we do have the chance. Because I love this. Music. Mission. Meaning. Whatever this is.

It was a great time. Saturday as we played for Watering Malawi, we helped raise $4,500 for relief in a place desperately needing it. Thanks, Jeanine for all of your hard work!
